I haven't checked the developement versions in a while, but it is probably
still true that TiMidity doesn't take advantage of multiple CPUs.  While,
in theory, the voice resampling could be divided up over multiple CPUs and
scale very nicely (since the resampling takes most of the CPU time) with
the number of CPUs, this isn't currently supported.
