Hi!

Just encountered one problem. I'd like to give every user the possibility to
change his/her password by themselves (using their log-in with restricted
rights). I give them access to the menu Administration->Users->Users->My
password. That's ok. But then they are able to create new users (doubleclick on
Users) and change the passwords of other users (even the admin!). So I tried to
restrict their Access controls by setting the rights of their usergroup for the
Model "res.users" to "Read access" only. Now they aren't able to change others'
passwords, but they can not change their own either.
Is this behaviour intended? And is there a way of doing my task differently?

Regards

knerz

P.S.: If you guys want to try that for yourselves keep in mind that every
Access control which is bound to a usergroup is not available for all other
usergroups anymore! Especially giving the rights of the Modules "res.users" or
"ir.ui.menu" to a certain usergroup leads to the result that all members of
all other groups can not log in the system anymore!!
I strongly recommend to do some execises on a new database-installation before
trying to change a working system!
