This demo has been made very quickly, we will write a complete doc, product sheet and demonstration once our development are finnished. I think the concept is very interresting for managing all documents of the company. Very easy, powerfull and good classifications rules, automatic indexing of the content of binary files, and fully integrated with the ERP. In a few words: * Fully integrated with the existing attachment system * You can mount Tiny ERP like a shared Network Filesystem * You can define your directories structures and rules Advantages for document management; * Authentification and access rights from Tiny ERP, no need to manage complex access rights. Support: basic, ldap * Can be accessed like Shared Network Access * All document are indexed to allow searches ala google for .doc, .sxw, .pdf, ... * Very advanced access rights management * Integrated through all ressources of the ERP * No need to manage structures, they can be static or defined by the documents of your system. For example, in the following animation, the structure of all projects is the one of the analytic chart of accounts. If you add documents, they become accessible through attachements on the accounts. * Can simulate file which are printed on demand (in the following example, the print of a sale order) * All can be made by drag and drop. For instance, drag and drop a file from a mail to an analytic account and it becomes attached at the right document in Tiny ERP, plus indexed for searches * Can create Tiny ERP ressources, simply by creating directories (or drag & drop) * Manage the same Tree structure. * Workflows on directories and documents * All attached documents can be accesses through 3 ways: ** From attachements on a document in Tiny ERP ** From the Document Management menu in Tiny ERP (like global search) ** From the directory structure in the network filesystem We also plan to develop: * Integrated versionning * Different storing method by directory (filesystem, postgresql) * Indexation of images * Faster with cache on URI resolution. * A rule system * A document parser (drag and drop a .PDF/.DOC sale order and Tiny ERP will create the according Sales Order). Currently it is able to creaet new ressources, but only the name and the parent_id of this ressource are completed. * check in/out The module will be plublished in a few weeks, we still have to add some improvements before releasing. It works on all filesystems, we already tested on Windows and Linux. Please propose new ideas in the following post on document management.
