I got past that. 1) you have to use psycopg ver 1 with postgresql 8 2) psycopg 1 didnt compile on my centos5, spoke something about left operand '<=' in cursor.c.... I manually edited cursor.c, removing #if definitions in two places (they where checking for postgres 8) compiled fine and got tiny running
