I'm not sure, but in the case this relates to your question, you shouldn't expose to internet what you don't want to divulgate to the world. On a Lan, secure access to the lan. On a remote server, use vpn or play with iptables filtering. If you use eTiny, you may consider placing an apache proxy on the way to manage ssl. Does it make sens and is it what you are looking for ?
