Guys,

I think a lot has been done regarding to storing different versions of any 
generated PDF/reports in the file system/database (using the document module). 
That's a good part of the problem: indeed for instance storing the several 
versions of the invoice totally fixes the problem for accounting in France I 
think (then you do have the exact version of the printed PDF in the DB as 
required by law), no matter if the parter address changes later on.

To activate this, for a given record you should add a 'prefix' string or 
function (I think, doc would be welcome) in Administration > Low level object > 
Actions > XML reports.

I think, they also implemented ways to reprint the PDF/report FROM an existing 
report, may be using a function instead of a string prefix.

I think if people agree this system works well and if more doc is provided, 
then their would be no need IMHO for an other DB system.

Did you experiment with this? what do you think about it?
