I am a paying client of Tiny. I have bought the OOreport designer, had a custom
module developed, and I experienced their support. I think, all in all, I paid
Tiny about EUR 3,000 not that much, but considering the bullshit, buggy
software and lousy support which came my way, certainly enough.

For convenience purposes I actually did consider buying the smb package to
migrate from 4.2.3 to V5. But as of yesterday, that though is being put on
hold. Here is why.

Tiny claims that migration is working. But I have my doubts. As PDNerp reported
problems with the multi_company_account module I have tried it at my end my
self. At this stage it is not possible to get a basic multi company set up
working. There is a problem with the module, or the right one is not available.
That raises the next question, why? Is it intentional?
However, in 4.2.3 we work in a multi company environment, so its needed to
migrate to V5. So, how can they claim that migration is working if basic
modules cannot be installed? We haven’t event started migration and there is
a basic problem. That's probably just the tip of the iceberg.
If I look at the problems we are having with 4.2.3 it simply appears to be a
continuing theme.

Just look on how this whole migration issue is being handled. There was no
information on migration for a significant amount of time. Then, we are being
served a link with their maintenance packages. Uggghh!!
Who's not to say that they are going to change the contract halfway through?
What number are they going to pull with their next upgrade and release? Where
does it stop?

OOreport Desinger.
I bought this thing for EUR 500, when I got, it did not even install. The
application did not work for 6 months. I was told that I have the source code
and can fix it my self. Thats something I paid money for!

Support:
When you write to support, what support writes back to you and says, everything
is OK at their end and puts a :) next to it ?!?

OpenERP is a double edged sword. Free software which comes at a high price.

I do not mind paying for software. But here, honesty and decency has gone out
the window.
