Hi,

I hope I am posting this in the right place!

I've searched through the forums and can't seem to find anyone else who is
encountering a similar problem, but obviously if I have missed it please just
point me in the right direction!

I've installed OpenERP v5.0.1 to try and evaluate it, so I can work out whether
it will be suitable for our company. I have created a demo database, and can
successfully connect to it without any problems. However intermittently when
opening forms or lists I get an Application Error, and on the details tab it
states "socket connection broken". Sometimes however the same form/list will
open without a problem.

The PostgreSQL server, OpenERP server, and OpenERP client are all running on
the same computer (Windows XP SP3).

No error messages appear in the Server log when the problem occurs, but the
following appeared in the client log:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "modules\gui\window\tree.pyo", line 194, in sig_open
  File "modules\gui\window\tree.pyo", line 188, in sig_action

File "rpc.pyo", line 118, in execute
File "tiny_socket.pyo", line 77, in myreceive
File "tiny_socket.pyo", line 70, in read
RuntimeError: socket connection broken

Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated. Unless I can
resolve this issue then it is going to be difficult for me to recommend this
software to my bosses as a replacement for the aging system that we currently
use.

Thanks in advance,

:-) Dave.
