I think this module have lots of similitarities with what I coded for http://www.anevia.com did 90% at Smile.fr, now providing some support from my new born Brazilian company Akretion.com. They are also managing serial numbers, hardware revisions, RMA, customers fleet and maintainance contracts upon it. In our case this has been achieved by the floowing modules I created: - mrp_prod_lot_autosplit in extra addons for serial numbers - fleet_maintenance in extra addons for grouping products in customers fleet, selling maintenance contracts for them and for the Return Of Marchadise (RMA). - product_hardware_revision in addons community - plus some custom light modules and custom reports It would be great if those modules could converge into somewhat very clean and generic over the time, feel free to contact me if you want to make efforts in this direction. I'm happier seeing you contributing constructively that way rather than just bashing Tiny I should say.
