For info, OpenERP on Python 2.6 with Ubuntu Jaunty is working well provided you do the little tweak explained in the bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openerp-server/+bug/337759 that's is basically: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/oldxml/_xmlplus/utils/boolean.so /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/_xmlplus/utils/boolean.so We are quite a lot using it on Jaunty with Python 2.6 heavily and no problem other than this installation glitch.
