Hi,
After a few hours playing with the requests feature that allows messages to
sent between users in Openerp, I'd like to make sure that I've understood its
limitations correctly.
Its allows a structured communication with history, references to partners or
objects such as invoices. Attachments can also be made to requests.
Requests are also used by Cases to notify responsibles.
Problems
* User must be logged into the Openerp client?
* Slow (how long before a request is transferred?)
* If I've a request open, its info is not automatically refreshed.
* No popups possible?
* links from invoice & partner screens for related requests?
* When a request is closed, it cannot be unclosed?
* Email notifications and answers? Not possible since users don't have an
email?
* Priority high entries do not stand out (e.g. no red colour)
* Cannot send a request to a group or role?
* Cannot send to several people?
* I got some "AccessError: you cannot read this document". Is concurrent
access properly programmed?
Sorry if this list seems long I'm trying to get a feel for this feature. Given
its name 'Request' is not so each to search the forum for relevant posts.
