I would like to reiterate Datrus' recommendation on the NAN jasper_reports integration for you. You can utilize the iReport product from Jasper in the design - and it seems to work well for some of our clients. This runs on Windows as well - so that is a good fit. Once you go through the instructions and get it setup - you'll find it relatively productive and efficient to product reports. SubReport capability is a nice feature as well. This is a good link to get you going with some info. http://albert-nan.blogspot.com/
What we like about it . . . the preview mode works well in iReport so we can tweak the reports iteratively. The XPath XML integration works well - but if you have to go direct SQL into the database you can do that as well. The system enables you to easily add reports to OpenERP. Leveraging iReports enables you to make some great looking reports. We also like all the output options: pdf, excel, html, etc. We've heard good things about the report_openoffice, so based on the feedback in the community you would do well going that direction as well. I know its confusing but the report_openoffice is not the shared funded openoffice module from OpenERP sa. Hopefully this will give you some useful guidance. ------------------------ ChiefPenguin NovaPoint Group LLC www.novapointgroup.com OpenERP Services & Consulting -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=56518#56518 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
