Join the club :-) It seems that everyone struggles to get OpenERP to work with anglo-saxon accounting. I fear that most people just give up and never return to OpenERP.
I believe the number one most important thing that needs to be done to OpenERP is to get the accounting module fixed to support this type of accounting.
