It's a good idea.  But I think a system-level solution would be better, just as we check a  file's version in OS.

Many times I get the problem that I forget what I installed to the motes. 
So I'm wondering whether there is a way to check what program is installed 
on the mote?  For example, is there any program ID or something alike?
