Hi, I'm installing TinyOS and nesC on a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. My OS is Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger". I ran into only one problem when I followed the TinyOS installation instructions:
The avr-insight rpm gave me trouble. Apparently it wanted to modify a file previously installed by another rpm? here is what I got: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/ahren/cs451/TinyOs# alien -i avr-insight-pre6.0cvs.tinyos-1.3.i386.rpm dpkg: error processing avr-insight_pre6.0cvs.tinyos-2.3_i386.deb (--install): trying to overwrite `/usr/local/share/locale/da/LC_MESSAGES/opcodes.mo', which is also in package avr-binutils dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: avr-insight_pre6.0cvs.tinyos-2.3_i386.deb So, what is the avr-insight-pre6.0cvs rpm? Is it really important, or can I just ignore it and hope for the best? (haha) Anybody know of a workaround for this error? Cheers!
