Yun I thought you had it for a moment. I recompiled the deluge java tools for mica2 (and removed an include to the micaz radio) from the Deluge java make file. Everything compiled fine.
No change in behavior however. In fact it didn't even have an effect on the micaz motes. Which makes me wonder what the purpose of the DELUGE_PLATFORM variable is for. So I am still in the same place as before. Thank you for the suggestion.
