you can do something like this.
1) in your mote code, do

#ifdef MY_AT_COMPILE
#define MY_VAL MY_AT_COMPILE
#else
#define MY_VAL 0 // some default value
#endif
----
2) in your mote app Makefile, do
----
ifdef MY_COMPILE_ARG
CFLAGS += -DMY_AT_COMPILE=$(MY_COMPILE_ARG)
endif
----
3) When you compile, do
---
make telosb MY_COMPILE_ARG=5
---
This will work.
