I'll respond on behalf of Kaan: Yes, it does blink every second.
Moreover, UART works fine with the adjusted baud rates (i.e. UBR &
UMCTL values).

We use an 8 MHz crystal oscilloscope. So a MHz is 1,000,000 Hz rather
than 1,048,576 Hz. Would this require changes anywhere related to the
radio stack or the timers?
