This seems contradicting what's said in the Blip tutorial http://docs.tinyos.net/index.php/BLIP_Tutorial Maybe the tutorial needs to be updated. Better if you or someone can point out steps to make it work on Iris.

The IPBaseStation code is CC2420 specific, so it will not run on the

iris. It's trivial, though, to change the code to work with the RF230.

As far as I can tell, it uses the CC2420Config interface only to

change the radio channel.
