Collaboration and Sensors Networks and Systems
(CSNS 2011)

CALL FOR PAPERS

As part of
The 2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and
Systems (CTS 2011)

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2011

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
Wireless Sensors Networks and Systems constitute some of the most
significant contemporary technologies, attracting considerable
research interest from various disciplines and application domains.
They have been employed in emerging areas with high potential for
societal impact, and are being used in plethora of biomedical,
environmental and industrial applications. These applications
generally require intelligent monitoring of various physical phenomena
that generate the data volumes of interest. The processes involved in
data gathering, analysis and information extraction / fusion, need to
employ efficient cooperation and coordination among different tasks,
in order to provide certain quality assurances, which is a paramount
for various decision making activities. This, however, needs to be
done in conjunction with prolonging the effective network lifetime and
its topology control.

The International Workshop on Collaboration and Sensors Networks and
Systems (CSNS 2011) aims at providing an opportunity for researchers
and practitioners to present the most recent advances and future
challenges in efficient management of various collaborative aspects in
distributed, wireless and mobile sensors networks and systems.

CSNS 2011 will concentrate on highlighting the recent innovative
research and development results in collaborative infrastructures in
the context of wireless sensors networks and systems. It will be held
as part of the 2011 International Conference on Collaboration
Technologies and Systems (CTS 2011), strengthening the forum by
providing a focused summary of the contributions in these emerging
areas.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
• Distributed Sensor Networks Architectures
• Integrated Sensor based Collaboration Systems
• Ubiquitous and Pervasive Sensing
• Data and Resource Sharing in Sensors Networks and Systems
• Collaborative Data Management on Large Scale and Complex Systems
• Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks
• Interfacing with Wireless/Mobile Systems
• Routing and Data Transport in Wireless Sensor Networks
• Groups and Organizations Collaboration in Sensor Networks
• Visualization Techniques and Visual Languages for Collaborative
Sensor Networks
• Multi-sensor Data Fusion
• Methods for Ad Hoc Deployment
• Algorithms for Sensor Localization and Tracking of Mobile Users
• Energy Issues and In-Situ Calibration Methods
• Performance Evaluation of Distributed Sensor Networks
• Multimedia Sensor Networks
• Trust and Security Issues in Distributed Collaborative Sensor Systems
• Technologies Enabling Trusted Collaboration Among Heterogeneous Sensors
• Web Backbone Technologies and Methods to provide Reliable, Trusted
Sensor Interactions
• Wearable and Body Area Sensor Networks
• Intelligent Sensor Technologies and Applications
• Applications Enabled by Collaborative Sensor Network Architectures

PAPER SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
You are invited to submit original and unpublished research work on
above and other topics related to sensor networks and systems and
collaboration. Submitted papers must not have been published or
simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Submission should include a cover
page with authors' names, affiliation, addresses, fax numbers, phone
numbers, and email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the
corresponding author and include up to 6 keywords from the above list
of topics and an abstract of no more than 300 words. The full
manuscript should be at most 8 pages using the two-column IEEE format.
Additional pages will be charged additional fee. Please include page
numbers on all preliminary submissions to make it easier for reviewers
to provide helpful comments. Submit a PDF copy of your full
manuscript via web interface at http://www.cs.fredonia.edu/csns2011.

Only PDF or latex files will be accepted, submitted via the web
interface at http://www.cs.fredonia.edu/csns2011. Consistent with the
practice of CTS, each paper will receive three reviews. Papers will
be selected based on their originality, relevance, technical depth and
clarity of presentation. Submission implies the willingness of at
least one of the authors to register and present the paper, if
accepted. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers
will be registered and presented at the workshop.

Accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings.
Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be
posted on the CTS 2011 Conference website. It is our intent to have
the proceedings formally published in hard and soft copies and be
available at the time of the conference. The proceedings is projected
to be included in the IEEE Digital Library and indexed accordingly.

If you have any questions about paper submission or the workshop,
please contact the workshop organizers.
