TinyOS 2.1.1 was the last major release and was put out about a year ago.

http://tinyos-main.googlecode.com is the main development trunk and subject
to being broken as development is happening.   It is currently being prep'ed
for the next major release 2.1.2.  But it definitely is bleeding edge.

The CVS repository that you reference in your link below has been deprecated
for about a year and is no longer maintained.  It was the development trunk.

Hope that clears some things up.
