Hi, Michael

I'm glad that you are interested.
Is it the rfxlink blip patches at Github that you took a look at? I
searched this mailing list, but I did not find patches for rfxlink blip.

You said "it seems that a bit of work would be required to rebase them
against master", can you specify the work or give some hint?

Hi Alex,

I took a look at those rfxlink blip patches, it seems that a bit of work would
be required to rebase them against master. I'd be interested in any progress
that you make in that area, so please keep us in the loop as you progress :-)

Regards
Michael

Hi, Andris

Thank you very very much for your kindly reply! But I do have something
that I do not catch on.

    1. which list should I search? do you mean by this mailing list?

Yes, there was a lot of emails about it on tinyos-help.

    2. what is rfxlink? is it a kind of technique or a hardware structure?
Sorry that I could not access google.

Not exactly, rfxlink is a chip-independent software radio stack in tinyos. It
was first implemented for rf230, but currently all Atmel radios (rf230, rf212,
rfa1), cc2420x and cc2520 uses this. You can find it at tos/lib/rfxlink.

At the e-mail you sent later, you said "Blip1 worked with iris, but for a
very short period. It was fixed a few months before blip2 was merged.". Where
can I get the fixed one? In tinyos 2.1.2 ? It does not work in that way.

No, I think blip2 is older than 2.1.2., probably 2.1.1 was the last release
with blip1. However, it is possible that rf230 support was only added after
2.1.1, and removed with blip2 merge before 2.1.2 But you can always check the
history of the commits in the blip source files.

Hi Alex,

Blip doesn't work with any rfxlink radio, and the rf230 on iris uses rfxlink.
There were patches about this, some of them seemed the work (search the list),
but non of them was merged.

Hi, anyone who cares

Have you ever used blip with iris mote? I compiled the source in the folder
tinyos-2.x/support/sdk/c/blip, and it works well with micaz, but not with iris.
Has anyone transplanted the code to iris? or any solutions for the problem
below?
