Several users have reported problems with overheating of the RFM radio on power-up. According to the manufacturer, RFM, this is caused by a race condition on the power-up, hold-off circuitry, connected to VCC2. The 100 ohm resistior, R1, should be changed to zero ohms. Alan Broad
