Are you looking at the 'NiMH board' linked off of the TinyOS Hardware page?
That isn't in production -- it was an experimental board that the designer
opted not to produce for whatever reason.

The regular mica2dot power board does not have a booster. I'd check the
schematics to double-check  and for details on what it does have. In
addition to our schematic page, crossbow includes schematics in their mote
user manuals. You can find these user manuals linked off crossbow's support
page. They refer to the mica2/mica2dot & programming boards as the MPR/MIB
series.
