Hi all --

I have a product that I'm developing to monitor temperatures,
interactively (ie, similar to existing data loggers). I'm interesting
in leveraging motes and TinyOS with some "extra" hardware <buttons and
LCD>.

The most direct route that I can see is to work from the hardware
schematics on the TinyOS site, and "scale down" where appropriate. IE,
I don't need 128K flash .... probably 64K is excessive for the actual
application. 16Mhz is also likely overkill for the app.

However, I'm concerned as to what the bare-minimum for the TinyOS is
(w/o my application).

Also, is it possible to use the ATmel ATmega16 instead of the ATmega128
(or 103)? How much changes could I expect if I wanted to use a TI
micro-processor, instead of the ATmel?

Another option I liked very much was to use the Telos platform
(www.moteiv.com) and add on an LCD and buttons, as it already has the TI
(I believe), the formfactor is great (very small), and I like the
802.15.4 <Zigbee?> addition. However -- I've sent emails and phone
calls, to date, no response. Is this a dead project?

If so -- are there any alternatives? (Other than Xbow)
If not -- what are the costs, who / where do I need to contact?

Thanks so much.
