Dear Xiaoning,

You should be able to compile those applications in place, that is do not
copy them to your application directory. The supplied Makerules does some
magic to merge the required system files. The tos directory contains
modifications to the standard TinyOS kernel that are needed for precise
acoustic ranging, eg.

1. An order correct and streaming ADC
2. Clock and Timer modules (rather old ones)
3. Radio suspend support

Please let me know if you run into problems. I'll check that with the latest
CVS download you can still compile these programs.

hi, all, I did cvs update and get the directory
        C:\TinyOS\cygwin\opt\tinyos-1.x_org\contrib\02\vu
under vu directory, there are other folders such as tos tools and apps
but none of the programes in apps can be correctly compiled.
can anybody tell me how to use the apps in vu?
I want to get the distance between two mica motes for my project and
        research.

        Thanks a lot.
