Hi,

I saw an email regarding the Surge application and even I never see any multihop transmission when I run the application on TinyViz.

I have a couple of more questions:
  1. When I start the Surge application in TinyViz, the nodes initially send Broadcast messages including the Base station (node 0). Only after some time, the nodes start sending a packet to the Base station directly. Are the initial broadcast messages including that of the Base station's, used for collecting Route information at the nodes?
  2. After sometime into the simulation, all the nodes including the Base station again start sending Broadcast messages. Is this also a part of maintaining route info at the sensor nodes?
  3. In the SurgeM.nc file, there is a BCast.receive function but when I set the DBG=usr2 command on, I never see the function being called ever. Whats the purpose of this function.

Thanks in advance.

-Yogesh.
