Subject: [Tinyos-users] 1.1.10 CVS Snapshot Online

Hi

I've been trying to install the snapshot for 1.1.10 for the last couple of
days on my Win2K machine.
I keep getting the following error what ever I try even though I've
completely reinstalled TinyOs from

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /opt
$ rpm --force --ignoreos -Uvh tinyos-1.1.10Jan2005cvs-1.cygwin.noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        nesc >= 1.1.1 is needed by tinyos-1.1.10Jan2005cvs-1

Any ideas much appreciated.

Detailed retries:
I had TinyOs 1.1.7 working on my machine with some Xbow apps successfully
working and also running SerialForwarder and Surge-view.
I tried the rpm upgrade on tinyos-1.1.10. From the failure message I thought
I should upgrade to nesc and decided on nesC-1.1.2 .
I upgraded to nesC-1.1.2 in what I thought was a successful operation, but I
haven't been able to figure out what is a nesC-1.1.2. I try ncc -dumpversion
and it gives me "3.3-tinyos".
However the rpm on tinyos-1.1.10 is still failing.

I have been all over the FAQ, and installation links, to try and get an idea
of what it is.
So I tried uninstalling TinyOs, which does everything except Cywgin.
Then I reinstalled from tinyos-1.1.0-1is.exe to give me a new environment
(except Cygwin which I kept). The rpm tinyos-1.1.10 is still failing.
Then I upgraded to nesC-1.1.2 again, still failed the rpm tinyos-1.1.10

I've tried checking out what the logic is on rpm - but the build doesn't
seem to be enabled to tell me what checks are done.

Many thanks for any help
      Neil
