I have been asked to shepherd TEP 109 for TinyOS 2.0. This TEP concerns the development, interfaces, and organization of driver code for sensor boards in TinyOS. (For those of you not familiar with TinyOS enhancement protocols (TEPs), they serve as technical documentation for TinyOS users as well as specifications for developers programming for TinyOS. More detail is available on the TInyOS website.)

TEP 109 is available at:

http://db.csail.mit.edu/tep109.html

I think you will find this not radically different from the existing sensor board interface you have grown to come and love, but this is your chance to make sure that the interface provides what you need and won't break your code horribly.

If you (in your capacity as either a user or developer of or for TinyOS) have any comments, feedback, or suggestions for improvements about the proposal for sensorboard interfaces in TinyOS 2.0, please email them to me. Feel free to either send rambling comments by email or propose edits directly in the HTML file.

I ask that you get me comments by Friday, October 5th.
