running ubuntu classic desktop or unity 2d i can't see the mouse cursor,
if i stop gdm and then start a xserver session with only xterm i can see
the default mouse cursor (a big X) but if i go over the xterm window the
cursor is hided by the window. seems to have a z-index problem...
