And I am suffering from the same problem but on my Samsung B2170, I can send files from the laptop to the phone without issue. But I can not send files to the PC from phone, the phone have a message "access denied"? 10.04 does not have all the features of 12.04, but what it does have works absolutely correctly and as expected. part of syslog: .....
