Bug description:
While the pandaboard is said to have 1GB memory (and so says U-boot),
the linux android kernel is far from the count:
Under linaro android (11.09-release, build finished 2011-09-26 09:29:05):
Kernel command line: console=tty0 console=ttyO2,115200n8 rootwait ro
earlyprintk fixrtc nocompcache vram=48M omapfb.vram=0:24M,1:24M
mem=456M@0x80000000 mem=512M@0xA0000000 init=/init androidboot.console=ttyO2
Memory: 456MB 208MB = 664MB total
In fact, it comes from this:
Truncating RAM at a0000000-bfffffff to -afffffff (vmalloc region overlap).
According to /proc/config.gz:
# CONFIG_HIGHMEM is not set
On the other hand, there shouldn't be a need for highmem, since under linaro
nano (11.05-daily, 20110929):
