Rip, you've got to get into this inter-disciplinary,
post-modernist, deconstructionist age!  Knowledge, facts,
expertise are passe, and left-overs from the hegemony of racist,
sexist, and Eurocentric science that has been destroyed by
cultural, feminist, and like critics, to be replaced by a more
enlightened and equitable wordview that allows all voices to
speak with equal authority.  To paraphrase Gergen (loosely),
these liberating influences are to be celebrated, and not viewed
negatively.
