I'm in a holding pattern waiting for the onslaught of exams & papers and
last minute student problems. In other words time to kill.

Talk to any football player and see if they would rather have their August,
September and even October practices in Florida or someplace in the north.

I don't know why I respond, but...

The NCAA limits how many practices teams can have during the regular
season, in the Spring and in training camp.  The simple reason why college
football in the state of florida is that it is the easiest place in the
world to recruit to.  All three major college teams have a proven track
record.  The weather is better than anywhere else (except during the
occasional hurricane).  And, not to be sexist, the co-eds are pretty nice
to look at.  If you were a h.s. football player that had the opportunity to
go to Florida St. or Wyoming, which would you pick?
