Annette:
     Yes, no, and yes (to the above questions).  I received early tenure 
long ago and get very positive course evaluations.  But like many of us, 
I am always trying to do just a little better, reach a few more of the 
students, improve from whatever level I am at.  I am pushing for success 
with 100% of my students.  Those few nonparticipating students represent 
a teaching challenge at present.  It is tempting to blame the students 
for not doing their part, but I keep wondering if there is more I could 
be doing.
