TIPSters, I never cease to be amazed at the cajones of some of my "motivation-challenged" students in my courses. Here's a gem of an email from a student in my Intro to Psychology course, a day before the exam. I love how he, in so many words, tells me that my class isn't a priority, but he'd still like a special make-up exam...Wow. [by the way, I told him "no deal" -- and to just plan on taking the comprehensive remedial exam later]
I KNOW ITS A LATE NOTICED, BUT THIS WEEK HAS BEEN HARD FOR ME AND I HAVENT GOT MY STUDYING DONE WELL. WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GET AN EXTENSION ON THE TEST FOR TOMMORROW. I STILL HAVE OTHER ASSIGMENTS DUE AND I ALSO ATTENDED A FUNERAL SO ITS BEEN HARD FOR ME TO GET ORGANIZED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Todd D.
