ST. BONAVENTURE
UNIVERSITY. The Department of Psychology invites
applicants for a newly approved tenure-track assistant professor position,
beginning August, 2003. Applicants
should have completed their doctorate or expect completion by the starting
date. Candidates are sought who are
committed to teaching in a liberal arts and sciences environment and to
developing a research program that involves students in behavioral
research. Candidates should be able
to offer expertise in a contemporary area of psychology, such as health
psychology, behavioral medicine, aging, applied neuroscience or cognition, while
still contributing to our core areas.
Interest in teaching an interdisciplinary course in either the social or
natural sciences would be welcome.
The department has approximately 140 undergraduate majors and an active
faculty, dedicated to psychology as behavioral science. St. Bonaventure University is a private
institution with 2500 undergraduate and graduate students, located in the
foothills of the Allegheny Mountains along the southern tier of western New York
State, 70 miles south of Buffalo.
