I doubt this was a "popular" song and it isn't about abnormal psychology, but several years ago on NPR I heard a very cute clip that was basically a white rat singing about being a subject in psychology experiments. The refrain was something like "always be in the control group and you'll have a long and happy life" In the final verse however, the strategy backfired because the manipulation worked and the rats in the experimental group were all smarter and bigger. It was hilarious, but I have never been able to find it in the NPR archives or elsewhere. Does this ring a bell (Pavlovian or otherwise) with anyone?
