Position:    Assistant Professor, Life-Span Development Psychologist, Tenure-track position in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences.

Starting Date:    Academic Year 2005-06, (begins August 2005).

Qualifications:  Applicants should have demonstrated successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level and be qualified to teach Introductory Psychology, Life-Span Development, Psychology of Adulthood and Aging, and other courses in the candidate's area of expertise.  Opportunity exists for faculty involvement in the department's graduate program in Gerontology.  Doctoral degree is required by the time of appointment. A strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, student advising, student research, and faculty governance is desirable.

Duties:  This is a nine (9) month academic position with a teaching load of six courses per year (three courses each semester) and student academic advising responsibilities. Faculty members are expected to participate in department, college and university governance activities and other university events.
