This is frustrating, I'm sure, but the reasonable solution to the problem
wouldn't seem to me to be to restrict everyone else from using the full (or even
the moderately recent) capacities of the medium. Indeed, in many instances it
difficult or impossible convert attachments we send along to suit the everyone's
taste.  In the long run, the solution is to update the functionality of the
digest system. In the short run, it is for people who use the digest to either
live with the implications of that choice or to make another choice. That is, if
you want the convenience of receiving a single TIPS posting per day then there
are certain inconveniences that come along with that choice. Surely it isn't
incumbent on everyone else to accommodate to your choice. Pick your poison.
