Hello-
I recall that the notion of teaching methods and stats separately vs. combined has
been discussed at least a couple of times in the past. But, I was unable to uncover
much discussion in the archives, so please excuse me for bringing it up again.

My department currenlty has separate stats and methods courses, taught in that
sequence. We are considering combining the course content in an attempt to be more
efficient, reduce redundancy, and (hopefully) improve learning.

I'm asking TIPsters with first-hand experience on this matter for the following
information:
1) What are the advantages/disadvantages of combining stats/methods? Does it "work"
better?
2) Would you be willing to share course syllabi /outlines / web pages of combined
stats/methods courses?

I'll gladly summarize all responses and report back to the list (nice contribution to
the archive perhaps).

Thanks in advance,
-Mike
