Winston-Salem State is advertising for 4 positions in psychology to begin in the 2005-2006 academic year.
 
Position 1. This is a tenure-track position. The successful candidate will teach 12 semester hours in psychology per semester (general psychology, social psychology, and courses in candidate's specialty); advise students; participate in psychology area reviews; contribute to curriculum development, which may include developing distance-learning courses; engage in scholarly research and grant writing; and perform other departmental and university duties.

Qualifications include the Ph.D. in social psychology from an accredited institution; prior teaching experience in a culturally diverse, liberal arts institution; and demonstrated potential for research, scholarly publications, and grantsmanship. ABD will be considered.
Position 2. This is a tenure-track position. The successful candidate will teach 12 semester hours of courses in general psychology, abnormal behavior, and other courses in the candidate's specialty; advise students; participate in psychology area reviews; contribute to curriculum development, which may include developing distance-learning courses; engage in scholarly research and grant writing activities; and perform other departmental and university duties.

Qualifications include the Ph.D. in clinical/counseling psychology from an accredited institution; prior teaching experience in a culturally diverse, liberal arts undergraduate or graduate institution; and demonstrated potential for research and scholarly publication. ABD will be considered.
 
Position 3. This is a tenure-track position. The successful candidate will teach 12 semester hours of courses in general psychology, social psychology, and other courses in the candidate's specialty; advise students; engage in scholarly research and grant writing activities; and perform other departmental and university duties.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology from an accredited institution; prior teaching experience in a culturally diverse, liberal arts undergraduate or graduate institution; and demonstrated potential for research and scholarly publication. ABD will be considered.
