Dear Tipsters and Stuart:

In an attempt to bring addtional clarity to an area that needs it, Mark
Leary, in his excellent undergraduate research methods text, refers to
a study with at least one manipulated and at least one
non-manipulated/correlational/subject variable as a mixed design. This
would appear to be consistent with how such designs have been
described, at least in the areas I am most familiar with (social and
I/O). However, he provides the label (expericorr) to differentiate
between between/within "mixed" designs and the type referred to in this
thread.
