Hi all

Although I've read many critiques of the concept of basic (primary) emotions--those which are experienced universally and from which many other emotions are derived--I'm wondering if the consensus is shifting toward acceptance of the idea, even if there remains argument as to how many and which emotions belong in that category.

I would be grateful for your thoughts.
