The Psychology Department at Sweet Briar College invites applications for
a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning
Fall 2006 in the area of Experimental Psychology.  We are interested in
candidates with a primary specialization in Animal Learning and/or
Neuroscience.  The candidate must be committed to teaching excellence in a
liberal arts community while maintaining an active program of scholarly
research that involves undergraduates. A large, newly renovated animal
laboratory and startup monies are available. Teaching assignments are 3/3
and preference will go to candidates who can successfully teach Animal
Learning (with lab), Research Methods/Design (and lab), Introductory
Psychology, as well as courses in one’s area of specialty.
A Ph.D. or ABD in Experimental Psychology from an accredited institution
is required.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue
