I had suggested that the study mentioned by Michael S. on supplementing
prison diet with fish capsules to reduce violence was that of Gesch et al
(2002) [at http://bjp.rcpsych.org/cgi/reprint/181/1/22 ].

Now I see, courtesy of Marc Breedlove's neuroscience alert service, that
the New York Times Magazine for April 16 has an article on the topic.
It's at:http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/16/magazine/16wwln_idealab.html

It says that Gesch is planning a follow-up study to begin later this
year, with other trials already underway in Norway and Holland.

Better nutrition promotes peace. Certainly a novel idea, with far-ranging
implications.
