Another TIPS member probably knows better than I, but (unless I'm confabulating, which happens from time to time), I believe there's some published data indicating a pretty hefty correlation between EPPP scores and GRE scores. I wonder whether it would make sense for them to publish not only these rankings but also the rankings after covarying for average GRE scores across graduate programs. Perhaps one could argue that this adjusted ranking better reflects the job that programs are doing in training their graduate students (although I can see a justifiable argument that this latter approach could reflect "overadjustment," but that's another matter for discussion).

I was discussing Peterson's 2003 American Psychologist paper on the
training of Psy D's with some students. His Table 2 shows the number of
Psy D. and Ph D. programs with average Examination for Professional
Practice in Psychology scores in each quartile. There are no Psy D.
programs in the top quartile, but nine in the second quartile. The
students all wanted to know the names of those nine schools. Is there an
easy way to find out which programs have the best average EPPP scores?
(I realize this is not a perfect measure of quality.)

Thanks!

Joe
