Arizona State University, Tempe Campus, Department of Psychology (http://www.asu.edu/clas/psych) has 2 non-tenure track, full-time, 9 month Lecturer positions beginning as early as January, 2007. One position will be year-to-year, the other multi-year (for more experienced teachers). Responsibilities include: teaching 4 undergraduate courses per semester, including at least 2 of the following 3 foundational courses: Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Statistics, and Research Methods. Required qualifications: Doctorate in Psychology, undergraduate teaching experience and familiarity with “best practices” in undergraduate education. For the multi-year appointment: experience in professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom as well as experience teaching in 1 or more of the standard areas of psychology. Applicants are expected to give a teaching demonstration if invited for interview. Application deadline: December 1, 2006; but if not filled, every Tuesday thereafter until search is closed.
