Assistant Professor of Psychology


Frostburg State University, Department of Psychology seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology in General Experimental or Social Psychology to begin August 2007. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. New doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach in the undergraduate psychology program (two semester research methods sequence, Social Psychology, and additional courses in area of expertise) and possible teaching in our M.S. Counseling Psychology Program. (Teaching load an average of 12 credits per semester.) Undergraduate advising and serving as an advisor to Psi Chi or Psychology Club expected. Individual should show a commitment to sponsoring undergraduate student research, fostering a climate accepting of students from diverse backgrounds, and integrating multicultural issues into courses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Experimental or Social Psychology and a commitment to excellence in teaching. ABD will be considered for appointment at the Instructor level.
