Here is a short, readable article on the importance of experimental
methodology when assessing a scientific claim. The examples are medical,
rather than psychological, but may be all the more compelling to
students because of the high (but often misplaced) degree of awe which
medical research inspires in many. It would be good for methodology
courses, in particular, but for many other courses where methodological
issues come up.
